Primary Purpose:
This position is a split role that involves being a contracted member of the interdisciplinary team at Rogue Valley Mentoring (RVM) supporting the health, safety, and impact of mentoring relationships within RVM’s 1:1 Match Program as well as carrying a small caseload of outpatient clients through Kairos Jackson Services’ outpatient program. At RVM, this role will hold the title of RVM Clinical Support Coordinator and report to the Match Program Director. At Jackson Services, this role will hold the title of Individual & Family Therapist and report to their assigned site supervisor. In both roles, this position is responsible for building trusting relationships while maintaining clear ethical and professional boundaries, applying a strength-based, culturally responsive approach, and maintaining flexibility and adaptability in collaborative team-based settings.
Education and Experience:
Must meet Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) classifications, which includes a degree in one of the following:
Graduate degree in Psychology;
Graduate degree in Counseling;
Graduate degree in Social Work;
Graduate degree in Recreational, Art, or Music Therapy; or
Graduate degree in a behavioral science field.
Must be licensed in a clinical field (LCSW/LPC/LMFT, etc.) and have two years’ post-licensure experience in direct mental health service delivery. Experience in case management, behavioral health, and community-based services required. Additionally, bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural lived experience reflective of the community served is preferred.
Must demonstrate the ability to conduct an assessment, including identifying precipitating events, gathering histories of mental and physical health, substance abuse, past mental health services and criminal justice contacts, assessing family, cultural, social and work relationships, conducting a mental status examination, complete a DSM diagnosis, write and supervise the implementation of a Service Plan, and provide individual, family or group therapy within the scope of their training.
Minimum Qualifications:
Provide proof of current, valid Oregon Driver’s License (or if out-of-state will obtain Oregon license within 30 days), comprehensive automobile insurance (if applicable) and a safe driving record (minimum of 3 yrs.) to use company or personal vehicle for required duties.
Successfully pass a Criminal Background Check and Medicaid Fraud Check.
Obtain and maintain current certification in the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment.
Obtain and maintain current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification and demonstrate proficiency in Certification procedures.
Obtain and maintain current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Obtain and maintain National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and credentialing application process.
