Job Summary
The Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor provides recovery-oriented substance use disorder treatment and case management to individuals with significant substance use disorders. Services are offered in individual and group settings utilizing evidence-based clinical practice and skills and in compliance with program standards. CADC provides an array of services to a mixed caseload of individuals with substance use disorders. This position may provide specialized services depending on area of assignment.

- Annual salary range of:
- $61,448 - $82,932
- This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year. Increases are given at the end of the 6 month probationary period and at the 1 year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.
- For most employees who take advantage of health benefits the salary only makes up 60% of their total compensation. The County invests in you and your family!

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or closely related field; AND
- 2 year of work experience in mental health, drug court, counseling or closely related field ; AND
- Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification at the time of hire is required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.
Special Requirements:
- Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
- Valid Oregon driver's license.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with individuals that have co-occurring disorders of substance use and severe mental illness.
- Has experience working with Medications for Opiate Use Disorders (MOUD) Program
- Has experience working in collaboration with community providers
- Knowledge based on someone's perspective, personal identities, and history beyond their professional or educational experience.
- Comfortable working out in the community and providing crisis intervention/resolution and case management.
