  • Pay: $19.45-$23.03 per hour, plus shift premium for swing/graveyard shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are currently seeking part-time/on-call Residential Counselors to work at our adult residential treatment facility for day, swing and graveyard shifts, weekend availability is preferred. We are seeking individuals passionate about supporting adults in early recovery.

Residential Counselors (RCs) play an integral role in Fora Health’s Residential Program by providing oversight and support to clients. The RC is responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment for our clients, demonstrating healthy models of communication, ethics, and professional boundaries. Responsibilities include administering medication and assisting with day-to-day activities. Duties also include monitoring the behavior of our clients and intervening when necessary. Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative and problem-solving skills, be organized, show attention to detail, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by date of hire, in accordance with OAR 333-019-1010
  • Must demonstrate strong initiative and problem-solving skills, be organized, show attention to detail, communicate effectively, and have the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Flexibility, organization, and problem-solving skills

We encourage applications from those in recovery, but we require 2+ years of continuous sobriety for candidates who identify with being in recovery. A DHS criminal background investigation is conducted on all new employees. Convictions are evaluated for each position and are not necessarily disqualifying.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working in a residential setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field
  • Knowledge of substance-use & mental health disorders, intervention strategies and trauma-informed care
  • Bi-cultural and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
